The Vaillant 178985 Pressure Relief Valve (PRV) is a genuine Vaillant 3 bar safety valve for sealed central heating systems. It automatically releases water when system pressure goes above 3 bar, protecting the boiler, expansion vessel and pipework from damage.
A worn or faulty PRV can drip constantly from the outside discharge pipe, cause the boiler to lose pressure, or fail to release pressure when needed. Replacing the valve restores safe and stable system pressure.
