Stop condensate leaks and flue gas smells at the source with the genuine Vaillant 011547 Siphon Condensate Trap Kit. This complete original Vaillant kit includes the trap, drain hoses, connectors, seal and screws, giving engineers everything needed to replace the full condensate assembly in one visit.
A condensing boiler recovers extra heat from its flue gases, and in doing so it produces a steady flow of mildly acidic water called condensate. The siphon trap collects this water and releases it to the drain, while always holding a small water seal that stops flue gases from escaping into the home. Over time a trap can crack, split or become blocked with sludge. Warning signs include water dripping inside the boiler casing, gurgling sounds, a smell of flue gas, and the boiler locking out on a condensate or flame fault.
