The Ideal 171845 Insulation Retainer & Ionisation Kit is a genuine Ideal replacement kit for the burner area of Ideal gas boilers. The insulation retainer holds the combustion chamber insulation securely in place, while the ionisation part helps the boiler detect that the burner flame is lit.
A worn retainer or faulty ionisation component can cause the boiler to light and then go out, ignition lockouts, or flame failure faults. Replacing the kit restores reliable ignition and safe burner operation.
