This compatible replacement pump head kit is designed to replace the original Ideal pump head part numbers 175409, 175541 and 175670 on Ideal boilers with serial prefix XF or later. It is a quality aftermarket alternative (G-Pump Force LE-6GM V), not a genuine Ideal part, and offers a cost-effective way to get the boiler running again.
The pump circulates hot water from the boiler around the central heating system and through the heat exchanger. A worn or failing pump head can cause noisy operation, radiators not heating up, boiler overheat or lockout faults, and poor hot water performance. This kit replaces only the pump head (motor), so the existing pump body stays in the boiler and the job is quicker to complete.
